Pasta Carbonara (That’s Italian for “Breakfast for Dinner”)

On Monday evening we were all worn out from the holiday festivities and the first day back to reality. We just wanted comfort food – and not in the form of leftovers. Our out-of-town visitors had left that morning, but not without filling my fridge with about 4 dozen fresh chicken eggs. And there was […]

Wrapping up the Holiday Weekend with a Mexican Theme – Slow Roasted Spicy Beef for Tacos

Thanksgiving weekend. Perhaps my four favorite days of the year… How can you not love a holiday that is all about counting your blessings – friends and family, lots of good food and wine and not at all about presents? Well, at least that’s the way it is in my world. I have strict rules […]

Here is a great name for a yoga workshop – “Yoga for Nourishment”. It sounds so delicious, doesn’t it? The workshop was yesterday, Sunday afternoon, and it focused on restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra (which is a kind of meditative yoga). Yummy White Bean Soup with a Greek Accent

Hello!

Hi, I'm Maria. My husband and I own a winery in downtown McMinnville, the heart of Oregon's spectacular Willamette Valley.

Lucky for me I get to cook for the people I love, throw parties and pour a little Pinot. Nothing makes me happier than gathering people around my table and serving them food that nourishes both body and soul.

People often tell me that I'm living their dream life. And truthfully, I'm living mine too.

But let's be real, it's still life.
