Reflections on the Sandwich Years (Delicious Turkey Burgers with Zucchini & Cumin Recipe)

The best laid plans, as they say…I posted this photo of these little burgers on the usual social media channels a week, now two, ago. Everyone was clamoring for the recipe and I intended to oblige right away – they taste as good as they look and I am a big believer in sharing. Unfortunately […]

My Glamorous Life – A Week in the Life of this Winery Owner

Even the dream life can be a little less than dreamy sometimes. Not that its bad, it’s just a lot. Witness life around here lately. It all started a couple of weeks ago. I was working hard trying to nail down just the right recipes to send to our Wine Club members. I needed ten […]

Simple, Perfect Roasted Chicken – Food Bloggers Against Hunger

1 in 5 children in this country are hungry. Half of the children in this country will be food insecure at some time in their lives. Food politics in this country are messy and complicated: our government subsidizes the wrong things, factory farming creates more greenhouse gases than the cars on our planet, Monsanto has […]

Hello!

Hi, I'm Maria. My husband and I own a winery in downtown McMinnville, the heart of Oregon's spectacular Willamette Valley.

Lucky for me I get to cook for the people I love, throw parties and pour a little Pinot. Nothing makes me happier than gathering people around my table and serving them food that nourishes both body and soul.

People often tell me that I'm living their dream life. And truthfully, I'm living mine too.

But let's be real, it's still life.
