Classic Coq Au Vin {Recipe Included}

Well, hello there friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything here. Okay, that’s an understatement – it’s been over a year! Most of you know that I was diagnosed with cancer in February, right about the time most of us first learned about the coronavirus. I’ve written at length about my illness over on […]

On the eve of October ~ One Pot Moroccan Chicken and Rice with Dates and Green Olives {Recipe}

On the eve of October – the last Sunday in September – I made dinner for just my immediate family. On Tuesday we’ll begin our annual harvest dinners, (which you can read about here or here) and for the next month I’ll be cooking for 10 to 20 people every night. While those harvest dinners […]

Cooking for New Parents and Moroccan Vegetable Stew {Recipe}

It’s the first day of Fall and I couldn’t be happier about it. While I’m not much on the pumpkin spice, I am very fond of crisp days, snuggly sweaters, boots and cozy stews. A week or so ago I posted this picture of my oldest son Joey to social media. In the caption I […]

Salmon Fillets Braised in Pinot Noir with Bacon and Mushrooms

May 31, 2018 Maria Stuart Leave a Comment

Print Recipe Salmon Fillets Braised in Pinot Noir with Bacon and Mushrooms While there are several steps involved in making this dish, it’s well worth the time. It’s just the kind of cooking I love when I’ve got time to hang out in the kitchen and enjoy the process. Open a bottle of Vignette Pinot […]

Hello!

Hi, I'm Maria. My husband and I own a winery in downtown McMinnville, the heart of Oregon's spectacular Willamette Valley.

Lucky for me I get to cook for the people I love, throw parties and pour a little Pinot. Nothing makes me happier than gathering people around my table and serving them food that nourishes both body and soul.

People often tell me that I'm living their dream life. And truthfully, I'm living mine too.

But let's be real, it's still life.
