Love Thy Neighbor and Pakistani Slow-Cooked Lamb Stew {Recipe}

I’ll confess I’ve had trouble pulling myself away from the internet this past week. Every twist and turn of this crazy new political world compels me to keep going down the rabbit hole, keep clicking on the next headline. It makes me think of that recent New Yorker cartoon: “My desire to be well-informed is […]

Time Passes: Halloween Traditions and Best Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Now that our life has gotten back to normal – post harvest that is. I am realizing how different it is to not have Joe living under our roof.  I had lunch with a new friend yesterday and he asked me the age of my oldest child. “Eighteen” I answered. “Wow, you’re on the cusp. […]

Hello!

Hi, I'm Maria. My husband and I own a winery in downtown McMinnville, the heart of Oregon's spectacular Willamette Valley.

Lucky for me I get to cook for the people I love, throw parties and pour a little Pinot. Nothing makes me happier than gathering people around my table and serving them food that nourishes both body and soul.

People often tell me that I'm living their dream life. And truthfully, I'm living mine too.

But let's be real, it's still life.
